History of DW Tradition

In 1998 Denis Cordick and Roger Wagler decided to have a small golf tournament to gather some friends for a fun day of golf.

Almost before we started we realized we could have a great day and at the same time through the support of our contacts and associates raise some money for a good cause.

Denis was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of fourteen so we chose the Canadian Diabetes Association. In 2002, Denis and Loretta's daughter, Lauren, was also diagnosed with diabetes at the young age of 11 months so our efforts will hopefully help to find a cure for her and the over 2.5 million Canadians who suffer from Diabetes.

At our event there are at least 5 diabetics who play, 5 fathers of diabetics, 3 grandfathers, 8 uncles, 4 brothers, 4 husbands and most importantly 144 friends of diabetics.

Over the last 9 years our event has raised over $75,000 in support of the Canadian Diabetes Association.

This year's event will again be sellout and we look forward to another great year.
